Happy Sunday sweet friends!

I am so excited about today’s post! Last night we had our gender reveal party! Huge shout out to my Mother in Law and Grandmother for putting it all together! And thank you to all of our friends and family who helped celebrate with us!

Some of my favorite decorations were the chalkboards and the team boy and girl glasses! The glasses are from Party City. Ryan’s mom made the awesome reveal box and the cupcake tower!

Quick & Easy Summer Treat! [Passion Tea Lemonade]

Hello friends!!

Happy Memorial Day! Today we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country!

I am also 14 weeks pregnant! We are so excited to find out if Baby B is a sweet little boy or a pretty little girl this weekend! I will share the details of our affordable gender reveal party next week!

Today marks the “unofficial” start of summer. If you are anything like me, you love a good passion tea lemonade from Starbucks in the summer! Being pregnant, I have given up caffeine and tried to replace it with other tasty treats!

I was recently on Pinterest and saw copy cat recipes of all the popular Starbuck’s drinks, so you know I had to try it for myself!

For this recipe, you only need a few ingredients:

Tazo Passion Tea: 2 tea bags

Water: 16 ounces

Simply Lemonade: 8 ounces

Vanilla Extract: 1/4 teaspoon

Sugar or sugar substitute: 2 teaspoons

Prepare tea according to the directions on the box, add sugar and vanilla. Allow to cool for 30 minutes. Remove tea bags and add lemonade. Refrigerate or serve over ice!

This doesn’t taste exactly like Starbucks but it is pretty close in my opinion and it’s caffeine free!

I hope you enjoyed! Let me know what your favorite caffeine free drinks are and if you have an recipes I should try!

Recent Old Navy Purchases [Getting Ready for Summer]

Hello sweet friends!!

Long time no post! I know! I’m trying to get back into the swing of things after finding out that we are expecting!

We are so excited and can’t wait to meet our little one! But before little one gets here, I have all summer to get through. That includes a beach trip and many family cookouts and birthdays.

I have started buying some items that I hope will last me through the summer and be comfortable enough for my growing belly.

All of these items are from Old Navy but I have a few more pieces from other places that I will include in a later post.

First is this jersey swing dress. This dress is so comfortable. It’s loose and flowy without being boxy. I need every color.

Next are these two dresses. I am in love with the cami dresses. They are so comfy and flattering. My husband said they are the best fitting dresses I own. My chest is much bigger now that I am pregnant so I did have to go up one size.

How I styled one of the dresses for work.

This linen dress wasn’t a win for me. It will be going back. The fit and fabric just wasn’t right and I felt like it ran a little small. Mine is in the denim color but it is sold out online.

Maternity shorts are life!! I LOVE THEM! They are so comfortable. These are a great fit. I bought my normal size and the have plenty of room for the belly to grow. They are 50% off on Old Navy’s website right now!

This maternity bathing suit is very flattering. I actually purchased the black but unfortunately it is sold out online. I bought a medium and it fits great with plenty of room to grow.

I hope you enjoyed! Let me know what you’re summer essentials are and if you have picked anything up that I need to check out!

April IPSY Glam Bag Review

Hello sweet friends!

It’s ipsy glam bag time again! I’ll have to admit that this month’s bag was not my favorite. All the products were just okay in my opinion. The tie dye bag was the best part for me.

My favorite product this month was the Probelle nail polish in the shade ‘In or Out’. It is a nice, muted purple and looks great on my toes for spring.

The next product I received was the pur-lisse Beauty Blue Lotus + White Tea Sheet Mask. It is very moisturizing as has a nice a smell. I  just don’t care for sheet masks.

I was not a fan of the Benefit Lash Prime at all. I used my everyday Loreal mascara over it and my eyelashes looked clumpy and spikey. I am sure it is meant to be used with the They’re Real mascara, but I did not have that on hand.

The NUDESTIX lip and cheek pencil in Mystic was a nice product. I did not try it on my cheeks because I prefer not to use cream blush on my face but it was a very pretty shade on the lips. It was moisturizing with a subtle scent. It applies a lot lighter than it looks in the package.

I wore the lip product to a wedding a few weekends ago. It’s is a nice neutral shade.

This LAB blending brush is a good staple to have in your collection. I can never have enough! The bristles are soft but firm enough to do a good blending job.

Loreal #extraordinaryhair VOXBOX [My hair journey]

Hello sweet friends!

I was recently sent the L’Oreal Extraordinary Oil shampoo, conditioner and serum in an Influencer VoxBox and I wanted to give you all a quick review.

Overall, I really liked these products. They smelled amazing and left my hair feeling soft and moisturized. The shampoo had a nice lather and the conditioner left my hair soft without leaving behind a greasy reside.

The serum was my favorite product. I used it as a finishing product when I was done styling my hair. It left a nice shine, without looking greasy, and controlled all frizz and flyways.

I would recommend this product if you have dry or damaged hair and are looking to add shine and moisture. All three products are affordable and work well together and individually.

Here is my before and after. The after picture was taken 1 week after using all 3 products regularly. I didn’t notice a huge difference in the pictures, but I can feel that my hair is softer and more manageable.

I also often get asked [mostly on Instagram] if I can explain how my hair is cut and colored. I thought I would show you the journey I have gone through to get what I consider my “perfect hair”.

My hair is a medium length with long layers. The color is mostly my natural brown with a mix between baylayage and ombré.  My ends are lighther and I also have some lighter pieces framing my face and throughout the rest of my hair! I hope that helps!

March Ipsy Glam Bag Review

Hello sweet friends!

Its IPSY glam bag time! I loved this month’s bag. The actual bag itself was so cute and so spring and all but one of the products were wins for me!

The first product I tried was the CAVIAR Miracle Multiplying Volume Mist. I applied the product according to the directions but I didn’t notice a difference in the amount of volume in my hair. I really wanted this to work. The only plus was that it did smell nice.

Next is the Illamasqua Percision Ink liquid eyeliner. This stuff is awesome.

It is very black, creates a thin line and stays! Everything you could want in a liquid eyeliner. There was no smudging and it was easy to use.

The Me Me Me blush brush is very soft and good quality. It is small enough to be able to control where the blush needs to go. This will definitely replace my current blush brush.

Next I received the Be A Bombshell Heat Wave Baked Bronzer. First, this is more of an illuminating powder or highlight on me. That being said, it is gorgeous.

It gives just the right amount of shimmer and color without being overpowering. This will be beautiful on the skin in the summer.

Finally is my favorite product! The Model Co Lip Lacquer in Morocco. This is so good! I will purchase the full size version again and again. It is so nice on the lips. It is smooth and long lasting without being sticky. It has a pleasant scent and leaves just the right amount of color.

It is already in my purse as my everyday gloss!

I hope you enjoyed! Let me know what you received in your Ipsy bag!  Overall, I really liked this months bag!

Until next time!

Perfect Summer Tan! [Safe and Affordable]

Hello sweet friends!

It’s that time of the year again! Skin showing time! If you’re anything like me, your limbs have been covered in sweaters and leggings all winter long! This Georgia weather has been beautiful lately so I knew it was time to show the legs.

To get a natural looking tan, I have used Banana Boat Summer Color Self-Tanning lotion for years. About 5 years to be exact. I use the Deep Dark Color version but there is also a Light/Medium Color for lighter skin tones. This is a wonderful alternative to tanning beds! (I hate tanning beds but that’s a different story.)

Before I apply, I make sure that I shave and exfoliate. I apply a nice, even layer to the skin and let it dry before getting dressed. WASH YOUR HANDS! I am yelling at you because your palms will turn orange if you don’t.

I find mine at Target and Walmart but I have also seen it at drugstores. If you want to find it online click here.

The picture below shows that process. The far left is no product, the middle is about 5 minutes after application, and the right is 5 hours after application.

I will warn you, a few hours after this sets, it will have a self tan smell (it smells just like a spray tan if you have ever had one). I always keep it on for at least 12 hours before I shower. You can apply at night before bed but make sure it is dry and you have sheets you don’t mind getting the residual tan on. It does wash out of clothing and sheets pretty easily.

This is the best picture of a freshly applied self tan that I have!

Thank you so much for your support. Let me know if you have a favorite self tanning product! Happy self tanning!
